Oral Sex can be Dangerous

I’ve just read a research article from the New England Journal of Medicine about the contributing effects of oral sex to throat cancer. If AIDS, HIV and other STDs aren’t enough to scare us, they had to involve cancer, too. The research shows that promiscuous oral sex (about 26 partners or more in a lifetime) greatly increases your chances of Throat Cancer. This is due to the likelihood of being infected with human papillomavirus or HPV, which has been implicated with different kinds of cancer, including the cervical kind. It was stated in the article that smoking doesn’t even come close to oral sex as a contributing factor to Throat Cancer.

Though oral sex reduces the risk of getting a girl pregnant, the chances of diseases spreading are very high. Both the male and female are open to all kinds of infection. HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases can be transferred through unprotected oral-vaginal sex. For oral penis contact, the risks are even greater as some pre-ejaculation (pre-cum as we refer to it) can go into a mouth with open sores; which then can be a route for viruses/bacteria into the bloodstream. And we all know that some STDs can’t be cured, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
