Girls are tech savvy, too you know. We love to keep updated with all the new hi-tech gadgets and gizmos that are coming out into the market. So when the iPod Touch was released, it wasn’t a surprise that I just had to get my hands on it. But being a wise and practical consumer, I waited for other people’s feedback until I finally decided to buy one for myself. From all the reviews I’ve read, the iPod Touch is the “Must Have Gadget of the Year”.

I might sound like I’m disappointed with the iPod Touch, but I’m not. I just get can’t get over the fact that it’s Wi-Fi capabilities are wasted on YouTube apps that people don’t really need much; but they completely forgot to add an e-mail client. Or maybe they didn’t forget, and just didn’t bother to add it as one of the features. Aside from that, there’s really nothing to complain about. Audio quality is extremely sharp and crisp; video quality is way above standard; downloading from iTunes is quick and simple; the Safari browser is easy to navigate. I’m really not satisfied with the price tag though, it seems too much for something that has limited features.

Online stores have just taken away the fun in shopping! My friends have been going crazy with their credit cards buying and eventually returning half of products they purchased. Shopping for clothes, shoes and accessories was more about trying them on, asking friends for opinions and going home satisfied with your purchases. Shopping gives the girls a chance to hang out and gossip!

What draws millions of people to shop online is the fact that there are literally millions of products available at the tip of their fingers. Items that usually sell out fast are available at online stores; with various styles to choose from. Bargains and clearance sales are also everywhere! The anonymity of transactions is also another factor. You rarely see a middle-aged woman going into an adult shop, but there are thousands of these women who buy vibrators online daily.

There are disadvantages of buying over the internet, one of which could be that the products could be refurbished or defective. You can return them, but some websites require you to pay a restocking fee plus shipping costs. Sizes vary, and the clothes you bought could be too big for you. Warranties are available, but you’d have to talk to a rude customer service agent.

For a great way to meet up with girlfriends every week, we decided to have Thursday as Poker Night. Movie night was already getting boring and we’ve already ran out of chick flicks to watch. When we first started out, we were only playing for fun as there was only an average of four girls attending the weekly get together. After some time, the number increased and we had to set up two more tables. Now, we play for money and it’s even better than going to a casino. At least, I know who’ll bring home my money.

What makes Poker Night special for us is the fact that we’ve all grown closer and more open about our lives. We are now able to talk about how our lives have been, because in the past we barely had time to spend as a group. There are also no men to distract us from really listening and talking to each about everything under the sun. We don’t have to fear being awkward and silly or wild and crazy; and just be ourselves. Besides we don’t have to worry about being dateless single women on Friday nights because there’s always good company and unlimited food and drinks waiting for us somewhere.

It’s not because the test is painful; but the reason I hate having a pap smear is because I’m scared of the results. The women in my family have a history of benign cysts and tumors all over their reproductive organs. I know that sooner or later, one or two symptoms will show up and I will have to lay down an operating table like the rest of them did. However fearful I am, I know that I have to go in and take the pap test.

Most women don’t even bother to go to their gynecologists, except when they get sick or pregnant. But it’s important to go in and have a pap smear no matter how violated we feel after. It takes a long time for abnormal cells to become cancerous, finding out early is better than having full blown cervical cancer. Basically, all women who are or have been sexually active should have a pap smear. For a more accurate result, you should avoid having sex before the test or inserting a tampon. You should not also douche or bathe in a tub. These can affect the results of your papsmear. When you do visit your gynecologist, be sure to take a Mammogram and all the other tests needed to determine your health.

Yes, the story goes on. But now I am a bit happier since Getresponse is going to insert a new language for their customers and you can guess which one it is. It is Romanian of course and I made the translations for their templates. At the beginning the support girl said that it will take a long time for them to implement my language yet she wrote me right back with a totally different opinion when I said I want my money back. That is a magic phrase indeed.

So it looks like GetResponse.com is a Polish company and they have lots of girls in their support department. At least that was my impression since I only noticed girls names in my support tickets.

Now about their services. GetResponse is one of the first and most recommended autoresponders along with aweber.com since they were among the first on the market. From what I understand non-techies like me are better if they start with getresponse since their control panel has more colors and has user friendly features. After trying it and adding a few campaigns I can say that like the administration panel. It is not hard to use it yet there are some areas where it needs little more tweaking.

Ok, so I have this other web site with quite a few subscribers that want to be kept up to date. So I am in the market for an autoresponder but I do not know where to go and what to chose. So, in my silly mind, I paid for an account at Getrseponse.com only to discover there are some restrictions. Obviously they need to be in compliance with anti spam laws but that kills my actual list of email subscribers. How? Let’s say I have an email list with 2000 users that do not speak English. Getresponse will allow me to import that list of emails into my account but they need to confirm each of them by sending a confirmation email which is pretty much a new confirmation request. And you are not allowed to change the subject or the body of that email. So my subscribers will receive a message in English which they will erase very fast or put it into their junk folder. Now I am trying to get my account closed and money refunded. Let’s see how it goes. So much for my first experience. Oh well. Things should get better. Cheers.

Well, I am not sure that’s true but I heard girls write lot more letters than boys do. I mean there are no statistics I heard of yet somehow it makes sense Well anyway, I wanted to send out an open letter to all the girls out there (in my country and everywhere) to help me with some ink work. I need to fill these blank spaces and need to do it fast before I lose interest. Let’s do it. Let’s start writing.
