Baths and real beauty bath

After a hard day at the work place or with the family, do you think I have the time or the inclination to waste my time on a bath? Naturally, that will be the reaction of most women; it was my reaction too! I used this as an excuse just because I felt lazy. After a hard day’s work, all I wanted to do was to put my feet up, and meditate with my eyes closed. But a bath is one of the best ways to make you feel all fresh and tingly as well as relax you completely.

There are BATHS – and beauty bath. The first one is the sort in which you get under a shower hastily. The other way i.e. beauty bath is to soak in bath-tub for a long time. May be singing is a good way of relaxation, but if you can make a tedious bath-time duty a pleasure, then why not do it.

First of all, to cool down in hot weather, it is not necessary to have a cold bath; it can give a nasty shock to sensitive system. So make sure that the water is at body temperature or a little warmer. It also depends what sort of bath you want.

To CLEAN-UP and relax, put in a little bit of salt in the bath water with ¼ cup of milk. If you wish, some herbal oils like rosemary can be used after a bath to make you feel relaxed. Some might think that milk is a waste in a bath, and one wonders what there going to say about the juice of orange added, to make you feel fresh and perfumed?

There are various cucumber juice based packs which one can use to get rid of suntan.

Juice of ½ a cucumber in a 3 table spoonfuls of gram flour and a little bit flour of honey, all made into smooth paste and applied 10 minutes before a bath, 3 times a week, will make everybody say, “What’s the secrete behind her smooth soft skin?” without having any recourse to chemical ointments on shop shelves.

Really dry skins need moisturizing occasionally. Just add some almond oil or coconut oil into the bath water. And then forget about all those moisturizing lotions.

Take a HEALING bath. If you want to pamper yourself royally, add rose petals or marigold petals to the bath. Some women do have a perspiration problem. Try this natural recipe to get rid of perspiration problems and under arm odor.

Boil one handful of mint, along with another handful of marigold petals [which is an antiseptic] and bottle the solution. After every bath apply that solution to your under arms.

Bath time is the time when you can depilate your legs and arms and apply nail polish. 15 minutes a day, everyday, after a long day’s work is what you own yourself.

The best oils are of course coconut oil and almond oil. Rice bran oil and wheat germ oil are slowly being appreciated too. They leave a thin glowing film on the skin. If you are troubled with oily skin, why not try rubbing yourself with lemon juice, in which a little rose water has been added? Women find glycerin a perfect moisturizer, but it may have a dehydrating effect if it is not diluted with rose water. So, next time you apply glycerin to your body, please add equal amounts of rose water to the solution too.

RELAX in the bath-tub. Let your limbs dangle loosely. Close your eyes and take deep breaths. Forget about those tiresome people or circumstances, so responsible for making you feel stressful and tense.

Do not think about tomorrow, try to hum a little. Who cares? Something idiotic will make you want to laugh. Especially when you are relaxed and wondering why you need to allow someone to disturb your sense of equilibrium and serenity.

Take a loofah and stimulate the circulation of your knees, heels and elbows. Rub them vigorously. And then, when you are still feeling fresh and energetic, spray yourself a little bit of perfume before you rub yourself dry. When the body is still moist, oils and perfumes are better absorbed.

Next bath time, recapture what you were missing and indulge yourself!
